Varicose vains and earthing

Legs with varicose veins have a hard time with 30+ degrees. They may (often) not be aired or seen, and they hurt.

Earthing helps improve blood flow, so over time the symptoms diminish.

The symptoms that occur with varicose veins are serious and annoying: heavy, tired and often hot legs, itching, a tense feeling, cramps, a pulling or stabbing pain in the calves, tremors in the legs, fluid around the ankles or on the lower leg, skin rashes and discoloration or hardening of the skin and inflammatory symptoms.

The causes of varicose veins are usually blamed on familial predisposition, hormonal complaints, standing for long periods of time.

Lifestyle also has an influence, such as too little exercise and processed foods, alcohol consumption, sugar and caffeine.

Going barefoot in cold sea water is refreshing with the heat and it is not the only solution to reduce pain symptoms.

"My feet were almost black in some places up to the ankles, especially on the instep. The veins were getting smaller and the circulation was not very good. I had very cold feet and I didn't have much feeling in them when I walked around (...)

Then I heard about grounding. I purchased a grounding mat and one Sunday afternoon I tried it out for the first time. I lay down on it for about twenty minutes while watching television. It had never hurt, but now it hurt tremendously. My feet began to cramp up completely. I jumped up and said “Enough, I'm not doing this.”

So I decided to go through with it. Within two days, the pain was gone. In its place, I experienced tingling in my feet for about three weeks. Then I noticed that my feet became lighter in color. I thought to myself that this was impossible. (...) before, my feet were very dry, they jumped open and sometimes bled. Then ulcers developed. All the result of poor circulation. Gradually, my soles of my feet softened. The gaping and bleeding stopped. These improvements occurred in two months. (...) After five months, my feet were completely lightened in color. Both feet."
